Venetian copper swirl clasp

When my husband and I went on our honeymoon to Florence and Venice, I already owned a bead store, so you will not be surprised to know that we spent an entire day on the Island of Murano looking for loose beads. We didn't find any. Necklaces galore and I almost bought a chandelier, but no loose beads. So, being thus thwarted, I have spent time collecting old ones wherever I find them. This wonderful piece has a dark green background atop of which sits a shimmering copper swirl. Although a classic design, it is fresh and modern in its simplicity. The centerpiece is 16 mm and the clasp is 30 mm from ring to ring. The vintage centerpiece is set in a hand-made sterling silver box clasp.
