Purple satin four-sided oval beads

These vintage German beads were made between 1919 and 1938. I have always loved this look. The very subtle horizontal stripes look almost soft beneath the skin of clear glass on top. These are four-sided with rounded corners. The beads are 18 mm long and 8 mm wide. Each strand contains about 25 beads and is 17 inches long.
