Carved Indian chest

This dark wood chest is hand made in the shape of a treasure chest with a carved domed lid. It is a strong relief pattern with leaves and vines with a flower in the middle. The box is 7 inches high at the dome, 12 inches long and 6 3/4 inches wide. The storage area is 3 1/2 inches deep and the lid makes a satisfactory smack when you close it. This box is most likely a tourist piece from the 1970s. But it is completely hand made of a heavy hard wood and is a handsome addition to any home.
