When trying to describe the color of these petite squares, carnelian was the best that we could do. The coloration on the beads is random. Some beads are more saturated with the color than others. They are not orange and they are not red, they are they special cross found in carnelian. It was not unusual for glass bead makers in the 1960s to make beads for costume jewelry that mimicked stones. These squares were made in mold in Czechoslovakia sometime during that time. The square is 5 mm by 5 mm. The hole is suitable for beading wire or silk. Price is for 10 beads.
