Blue rag rug

This is a traditional rag rug. Small rolls of blue fabric are woven in a brown weft for a nice contrast. The rug is mostly blue with highlights of red and yellow shot through the blue. It is an impressionistic effect. The rug is 2 feet x 3 feet and is 100 percent cotton. This rug is hand-dyed and hand-woven in India. This handicraft helps rural communities become self-reliant and helps native people sustain their traditional crafts.
